Use case 13 · Content & SEO audits
See your site the way a crawler does — structure first, decoration gone.
A crawler does not see your hero image or your brand colours. It sees an H1, some H2s and the text between them. Convert your site to Markdown and you are reading it the same way — which is exactly where content and SEO problems hide.

Today
- Auditing in the browser, distracted by design.
- Heading structure hidden behind styling that makes an H4 look like an H2.
- No way to search “which pages still mention the old product name?”
With output.md
- Every page as text with its heading hierarchy visible at a glance.
- Thin, duplicated and outdated pages obvious from the file itself.
- One collection you can question across the whole site.
Step by step
How it works, in 5 steps.
-
01
Import your sitemap
You do
Point Sitemap mode at your own sitemap.xml and process the queue.
You get
One Markdown file per page, exactly as a crawler would read it.
-
02
Read the headings
You do
Scan each file: is there one H1? Do the H2s tell the story? Are there heading jumps?
You get
Structural issues that CSS was hiding, spotted in seconds.
TipCollapse the preview to headings only and the outline of each page is right there.
-
03
Find thin and duplicate pages
You do
Short files, near-identical intros and repeated boilerplate stand out in plain text.
You get
A prune-or-merge list you can defend.
-
04
Ask across the site
You do
Collect the pages and use Knowledge chat: “Which pages mention the 2023 pricing?”, “Where do we explain onboarding?”
You get
A content inventory that answers questions instead of just listing URLs.
-
05
Export the inventory
You do
Download the ZIP and drop it next to your crawl export.
You get
Full-text context for every URL in your audit spreadsheet.
Why it works
What you get out of it.
Structure without styling
Markdown shows heading levels literally. What looks fine in the browser often does not read fine as text.
Full text, not just titles
Crawl tools give you title and meta. Markdown gives you the whole page to search and compare.
Repeatable before and after
Convert again after the refresh and compare the two projects.
What it costs
1 markdown credit per page.
A 50-page marketing site is one Workspace pack; questions across the collection cost 1 AI credit each.
Packs are one-time top-ups — no subscription. See all packs.
Questions
Before you start.
Does it show meta titles and descriptions?
output.md focuses on the body content — the part crawl tools do not give you in full. Pair it with your crawler export for title and meta data.
Can I audit a competitor’s site the same way?
Yes, any public sitemap or list of URLs works. See the competitive research use case.
Will it catch broken links?
Links are preserved in the Markdown, so you can see and search them, but output.md does not check their status. Use a crawler for that.
Try it on your own material.
Paste a link or upload a file, and see the Markdown before you decide anything else.
