Use case 17 · Client onboarding
Everything a new client sent you, searchable within the hour.
New client, new pile: their website, a brand deck, three briefs, a spreadsheet of products. output.md turns the pile into one collection your whole team can search and question — before the kickoff call, not after month one.
Free account, 10 markdown + 10 AI credits included. No credit card needed.
Today
- Files spread across email, Drive and Slack.
- Every team member reading the same 60-slide deck.
- “Where did they say their launch date was?” — asked five times.
With output.md
- Website, decks, briefs and sheets as Markdown in one project.
- A “Client X” collection anyone can ask questions of.
- A generated kickoff brief with the facts in one place.
Step by step
How it works, in 5 steps.
-
01
Import the website
You do
Sitemap mode on the client’s domain. Keep the pages that describe products, audience and positioning.
You get
Their public story as searchable text.
-
02
Upload what they sent
You do
Brand deck as PDF, briefs as Word, product or price lists as Excel.
You get
Decks become readable text, spreadsheets become Markdown tables.
TipName files by type — “brief-”, “deck-”, “data-” — so the collection stays navigable.
-
03
Build the client collection
You do
Collect everything into one collection named after the client.
You get
A single knowledge base for the account.
-
04
Ask before the kickoff
You do
Knowledge chat: “Who is their primary audience?”, “What are the launch milestones?”, “Which competitors do they name?”
You get
Prepared questions and fewer “we’ll get back to you”s.
-
05
Generate the kickoff brief
You do
Generate one article from the collection: “Internal onboarding brief for the account team: company, audience, products, goals, open questions.”
You get
A shareable brief on day one.
Why it works
What you get out of it.
One place for everything
Public site and private files, same format, same project.
Team-wide answers
Anyone on the account can ask the collection instead of asking the account lead.
Reusable through the engagement
Add new briefs as they arrive; the knowledge base grows with the client.
What it costs
1 markdown credit per page or file, 2 AI credits for the brief.
A typical onboarding — 30 site pages and ten files — fits in the Workspace pack, brief and questions included.
Packs are one-time top-ups — no subscription. See all packs.
Questions
Before you start.
Is client material kept private?
Projects and collections belong to your account. No .md files are written to disk on our side during conversion; you decide what to save and what to export or delete.
Can I hand the knowledge base to the client?
Export the project ZIP and share it — plain Markdown opens anywhere, no account needed on their side.
What about confidential spreadsheets with many tabs?
Each sheet becomes its own section of Markdown tables. Delete tabs you do not need in the editor before collecting.
Try it on your own material.
Paste a link or upload a file, and see the Markdown before you decide anything else.
